A Wish For Peace
This card uses the Crayon Resist Technique
Suppies Used: A Wish For Peace stamp set French Filigree background stamp Cardstock: Glossy, So Saffron, Handsome Hunter, Not Quite Navy Inks: Handsome Hunter, Bordering Blue, Not Quite Navy, Summer Sun marker Accessories: Modern Label Punch, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Embossing Buddy, 2-Way Glue Pen, Dotto Adhesive, Stampin Dimensionals, Vintage Brads Misc.: white crayon, paper cutter, bone folder, sponge; hand-held punch
Cardstock pieces: So Saffron 1 piece 5 ½ x 8 1/2 (folded for card); 1 piece 3 ½ x 3 1/4; scrap for sentiment Not Quite Navy 1 piece 3 5/8 x 3 3/8; scrap for sentiment Handsome Hunter 1 piece 3 3/8 x 3 1/8 Glossy, 3 1/8 x 3
Stamping: Stamp scene in Handsome Hunter on glossy cardstock; set aside to dry; Stamp French Filigree on card base in Not Quite Navy; Stamp sentiment in Not Quite Navy on So Saffron piece and cut the words "A wish for peace" out; Once the stamped scene is dry (be sure to give it plenty of time), apply white crayon everywhere you want snow, then sponge on color using Bordering Blue and Not Quite Navy ink; wipe off with tissue to reveal snow; color in window using marker; wipe Embossing Buddy over scene piece and then sparingly dot on glue using 2-Way Glue Pen and sprinkle Dazzling Diamonds glitter on.
Assembling: Punch out Modern Label piece from Not Quite Navy and attach sentiment; punch out holes on either end of sentiment piece and put in brads; Mount the scene onto the Handsome Hunter piece, then mount that onto the So Saffron piece, and lastly onto the Not Quite Navy piece; Mount the layered piece onto the front of card; Using the Stampin' Dimensionals, attach the sentiment piece under the scene.
