Birthday Wishes

Birthday Wishes

This birthday card idea, Birthday Wishes, features the Upsy Daisy stamp set (111710, $18.95).

I used Very Vanilla for the card base, and over the front of the card I attached a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper.

This pattern is just luscious! Although it doesn't have any texture you just want to touch it because it almost looks like a flocked pattern. It's just beautiful.

I stamped the daisy stamp in Crushed Curry on the focal piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and the Birthday greeting in Melon Mambo on the patterned piece. I then sponged a little of the Melon Mambo on the patterned paper piece and also around the edge and lightly across the top of the daisy piece.

I used my Embossing Buddy (a must have!) to remove moisture from the focal piece, then dotted on glue from the Two-Way Glue Pen and sprinkled on some Dazzling Diamond Glitter. I'm sorry the picture doesn't really show the glitter, but it really adds a nice texture and shimmer to the card.

After the glue dries you can assemble the card.

Supplies:

  • Stamp set: Upsy Daisy

  • Cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, folded in half to create card base; 2-3/8" x 2-3/4" piece of Very Vanilla; 2-1/2" x 3-7/8" piece of Melon Mambo cardstock, and two pieces of scrap cardstock in Melom Mambo and Bermuda Bay, 3-1/2" x 3/4" each

  • Ink: Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo

  • Other: SNAIL, Two-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Stamping Sponge, Embossing Buddy
