Elegant Because I Care

by Rebecca

You probably can't see it in the picture, but I really went to town on this card with the Gold Glow Smooch Spritz! The pattern paper I used from the Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper just screamed at me that it needed the gold, and I love it. After that I couldn't stop, so everything pretty much has been spritzed!

Note: Remember when using your Smooch Spritz to clean before and after each use, be sure you're aimed correctly... and COMMIT TO THE SPRITZ!

Stamps: Because I Care
Cardstock/paper: Crumb Cake card base, 5-1/2 x 4-1/4; Early Espresso, 5-1/2 x 1/2" and 2-1/2 x 3-3/4; Very Vanilla, 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 and scrap piece for stamping the flower a second time; Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper, 5-1/4 x 2
Markers: Wild Wasabi; Old Olive; Marina Mist; Concord Crush
Accessories: Gold Glow Smooch Spritz; Stampin' Dimensionals; Sponge; Snail

Ink up the flower stamp using your Stampin' Write Markers Wild Wasabi and Marina Mist. Using the Old Olive marker for the leaves and the Concord Crush for the flower, "thump" all over the previously-inked rubber. Stamp the flower stamp on the 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Repeat the process and stamp again on a Very Vanilla scrap.

Cut out one flower and set of leaves from the scrap piece. Using a sponge sponge the edge of the flower with Marina Mist and the edge of the leaves with Old Olive. Curl up the edges before layering on the other flower piece with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using your sponge apply Early Espresso ink around the edges and along the top of the flower piece to "dirty" it up, and then spritz on your Gold Glow.

Take the larger Early Espresso piece and wad it up really good to roughen it up. Wad it up and unfold it a few times. Flatten it out and layer the flower piece on top.

Adhere the Early Espresso strip to the bottom of the Designer Series paper. Attach this to your card front.

Stamp the greeting in Early Espresso and the flower border in Marina Mist.

Before attaching the flower piece I spritzed the entire card with the Gold Glow.

Attach the flower piece to complete the card.
