Herb Expressions Pop-Up Card
Supplies Front of card: Use Soft Suede card stock for the card base (5 ½ “ X 4 ¼ “). Cut Very Vanilla to fit front of card. Stamp tree from Thoughts & Prayers onto Very Vanilla card stock with Soft Suede ink. Punch a line of rectangular holes along top of Very Vanilla card stock. Thread ribbon through holes. Using the Tearing Edge, tear about ¼” off each edge of the Very Vanilla card stock. Attach a couple of small butterflys from the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die. Attach the Very Vanilla to the front of the card. Inside of card: Pop-up armature: Cut the following from Kraft card stock: 6” X 1” Score at 1 ½, 2 3/4, 4 ¼, 5 ½ inches 4 ½” X 1 ¼” Score at 1 ½, 2, 3 ½, 4 inches 4 ½” X ¾” Score at 1, 2, 3, 4 inches 4” X ¾” Score at 1 ½, 1 ¾, 3 ¼, 3 ½ inches Crease along each score line. Use the ½” tab at each end to glue the strips into open boxes. Attach the open boxes evenly spaced along the fold line. Attach from left to right as listed above. The short side of each box will be the bottom of the box and the longer side will be the back of the box. The bottom of each box will attach to the lower inside of the card and the back of the box will attach to the upper side of the card. Be careful to place the boxes so they are square on the card and fold down easily when the card is closed. Using StazOn ink, stamp the herbs onto watercolor paper. Color with Watercolor pencils and blend with either blender pen or Aqua Painter. Trim around images. Attach images to front of boxes (armature) at various heights. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach additional butterflys to images and to top card above the pop-up images. Stamp message on bottom of inside of card using StazOn ink.
