How to make cards with My Digital Studio
by Mary
(Kansas, USA)
Hello Rebecca!
It has been a few years since I went to a Stampin Up! demonstration on how to make cards and I can see that I have missed a lot! My daughters and I have waited for just such a program as My Digital Studio!!!
Can we upload our own pictures? Make up our own sayings? Re-use those button and ribbon downloads over and over and over again???? Can we use as many buttons as we desire for that same $3.95? This is just phenomenal especially since we have a digital camera now!
I sure hope that the answer is yes to all of these questions since I have younger children wanting to learn how to make cards AND they are also fairly computer literate. We are all better on the computer than we are with the scissors in our house. We can fairly litter our dining room with one project! We homeschool and have many homeschooling friends that would be thrilled with these stamping crafts!
Thanks for this great site!

Answer: Mary, thank you for your questions. And the answer is a big "Yes" to all of them!
Digital scrapbooking and card making has definitely kept my craft space a lot neater! And it's so economical because you only have to buy that button once and then you can use it over and over and over. And yes, you can use the greetings and sentiments that are included with My Digital Studio and add-ons, and/or you can create your own text. And it uses whatever fonts are already on your computer, so as you add more fonts you'll have more available to you in the program.
I'm so happy Stampin' Up! included card making programs in the software. Making birthday cards and thank you cards -- any card -- is a breeze.
Thanks again, Mary, for the questions. And if you end up buying My Digital Studio be sure to send us some of your daughters' art!
