Stairstep Card Folding Techniques

Stairstep cards are a very easy way to display your beautiful card and a great way to use up scraps of decorative paper. The sample here features the exquisite Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper from the 2010 Holiday Mini Catalog.

- 5/8" Victoria Crochet Trim - 118481
- Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper - 120810
- Always Artichoke cardstock for card base - 105119
- Cherry Cobbler cardstock - 119685
- Very Vanilla cardstock - 101650
- Eyelet Border Punch - 119853
- Basic Rhinestones - 119246
- Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink Pad - 119669
- Early Espresso Classic Ink Pad - 119670
- More Mustard Classic Ink Pad - 103162

This stair step card folding technique begins with a 5-1/2" x 10-1/2" card base. Score across the 5-1/2" side at:
- 1-1/4"
- 2-1/2"
- 4-1/4"
- 6"
- 8-1/4"
Fold on the score lines, alternating mountain and then valley, etc.
Adhere designer paper to fold fronts and decorate. The fold front dimensions are:
- 1st fold: 1-1/4" x 5-1/2"
- 2nd fold: 1-3/4" x 5-1/2"
- 3rd fold: 2-1/4" x 5-1/2"
