Stairstep cards are a very easy way to display your beautiful card and a great way to use up scraps of decorative paper. The sample here features the exquisite Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper from the 2010 Holiday Mini Catalog.

• 5/8" Victoria Crochet Trim - 118481

• Always Artichoke cardstock for card base - 105119

This stair step card folding technique begins with a 5-1/2" x 10-1/2" card base. Score across the 5-1/2" side at:

• 1-1/4"


• 2-1/2"


• 4-1/4"


• 6"


• 8-1/4"

Fold on the score lines, alternating mountain and then valley, etc.

Adhere designer paper to fold fronts and decorate. The fold front dimensions are:

• 1st fold: 1-1/4" x 5-1/2"


• 2nd fold: 1-3/4" x 5-1/2"


• 3rd fold: 2-1/4" x 5-1/2"
